Beschreibung
Ron Ron White is covered in bright white faux fur, soft and luminous, closer to a snow animal than to a piece of furniture. The artist Marion Baruch created Ron Ron in 1972 as what she called an “object of company”: a round, furry form with a tail, halfway between a pouf and a pet, named after the sound of purring.
Inside is a body of soft polyurethane, upholstered in faux fur. Ron Ron is 80 cm across and weighs 8 kg, so it can be moved around a room without effort and used as a seat, a footrest or simply as a presence. It has been exhibited at MAMbo in Bologna and at the museum of contemporary art in Geneva.
Each piece is upholstered by hand, and fur and shape can differ slightly from one Ron Ron to the next. The same piece is available in black.
