Beschreibung
Mozza looks like a cylinder sliced off at an angle, and at first it hardly reads as a seat. Giuseppe Raimondi, Gufram’s first creative director, designed it in 1968 so that the sloping top gives way under the body: lean back, and the soft block folds into a chair with a backrest and arms.
It is made of soft polyurethane with a removable fabric cover and weighs about 9 kg, so it moves easily between living room, studio and hotel lobby. Several pieces can be stacked into a column of colour. Mozza measures Ø 85 cm and 80 cm high. The cover is made by hand, and small differences between pieces are part of that.
Mozza also comes in green, red, grey, yellow and blue. Raimondi’s Alvar chaise longue and Tullio Regge’s Detecma share the same palette. This one is upholstered in a vivid orange that leans towards red.
