Beschreibung
Flowie is a seat in the shape of a flower as a child might draw it: a rounded, half-spherical base carrying a ring of plump petals. It was designed in 2024 by Supertoys Supertoys, the Dutch-German artist duo known for limited-edition art furniture, following their idea of „radical cuteness“. In 2025 it was shown in the exhibition CUTE at Kunsthal Rotterdam.
The body is soft polyurethane, finished by hand with Guflac Ultra, which gives it a smooth, resilient skin. Flowie measures 79 by 80 cm and 68 cm high and weighs 10 kg. It continues Gufram’s line of domestic objects borrowed from nature, from Piero Gilardi’s Sassi to Soft Baroque’s Pietre. As each piece is painted by hand, small differences in colour are normal.
Flowie is also available in Smooth Pearl and Sunny Peach. Sweet Pink is a soft, sugary pink.
